We are excited to announce the participation of Toastmasters in the 2022 Building Better Businesses Symposium.

McKinley Ambrose, a board member of The Townships Project, gave the keynote speech at the inaugural Building Better Businesses Symposium in 2018. Ambrose is also past president and a founding member of LCBO Toastmasters Club 6328.

As a result of Ambrose’s initiative, South African Toastmasters District 74 sent two fantastic speakers to the 2021 Symposium: Nikki Quinn, DTM and Andrew Tsuro, DTM. Both speakers are recognized by Toastmasters with the Distinguished Toastmasters (DTM) designation, which is awarded to members with the highest level of educational achievement in Toastmasters.

The Toastmaster speakers were very well received and they presented excellent insights into the low-cost communication and leadership skills training provided by this world-renowned organization. These skills are now being leveraged for business success by townships entrepreneurs.

We look forward to Toastmasters continued involvement in future symposiums.
