Michael King

Michael KingMichael King is the Managing Director responsible for establishing and advancing a specialised data analytics company called DNM Analytics across North America, based in Toronto. Prior to joining DNM Analytics, Michael was responsible for the advancement of RBC Global Asset Management across Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Previously, Michael served as the Regional Director responsible for the advancement of Franklin Templeton Investments across Africa, while based in Johannesburg, South Africa. In this capacity, he was responsible for institutional and retail advancement of the business across Africa in addition to serving as a Director on three of their Unit Trust Management Company boards. This position was preceded by his role as a General Manager at STANLIB Asset Management, where, as the General Manager for Africa and Emerging Markets he was responsible for establishing and managing retail and institutional asset management businesses across Africa.

Michael enhanced his global commercial skills through his employment, initially as a Diplomat responsible for the multi-lateral economic relationships of the democratically elected government of South Africa and through his subsequent appointment as a Market Adviser for the Norwegian Government. In this role. In this role Michael was responsible for establishing and managing a Venture Capital fund to develop sustainable commercial relations between Norwegian and African companies.

Michael holds a B.A (Hons.) degree in Development Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa (1996).
